Oftentimes we get to understand how much something means to us only when we have had to let it go: a job or career, a house or home, a familiar and cherished environment, and, most painful of all, a loved one who exits our life. Mostly, these events hit us unprepared, and can throw us into turmoil and confusion.

As human beings we are deeply attached to what is dear to us, and when we lose it we usually go through intense experiences of grief in all its different stages and aspects.
